Youth Class Education

Youth group consists of students in grades 9 through 12. Youth group aims to teach religious education through heavy student involvement as a way to teach youth leadership. Youth group meets from 10:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

What’s Being Taught This Year

This year religious education for children and youth will explore components of what it means to be a part of a Unitarian Universalist community. Classes will examine their faith by looking at life stories of Unitarian Universalist founders, discussing the importance of the Seven Principles, and examining what Unitarian Universalism means on an individual level. Some of the classes will take a comparative look at Unitarian Universalism by learning about world faiths and seeing how other religions are similar, and different, from Unitarian Universalism.

Ninth-Twelfth Grade: Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU)

Youth Group is a sacred community. With the support of advisors and the Youth Adult Committee, youth create a balanced program that includes community building, social action, learning opportunities, worship experiences, leadership training, and building relationships with adults in the larger church community.
