Bylaw Revisions—A New Contract among Ourselves
On April 11th at 11:15 a.m. right after Church, the Board of Trustees and Bylaws Task Force will host a Q&A session about our proposed new bylaws. Please review them and come to a discussion/info session by reviewing the proposed document by clicking here. (You may also find the “Users’ Guide to the New Bylaws” helpful, too.) This is to inform you prior to voting on whether to approve them at the May 23rd Congregational Meeting.
Membership
The members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster (UUCL) warmly invite you to attend our Sunday services. We hope that you find a friendly face and a warm smile. You can choose to fit into our congregation in your own time by joining one of our groups or committees. You are not required to be a member of the church to take part in church activities.
As always our Sunday services are free to all who attend, as are most of our planned events that are held on the premises. If you do decide to become a member of our church family, you’ll be starting a rewarding journey filled with a rich church life in which you can participate in many ways.
Our congregation is an autonomous church. We determine our own policies and by-laws. We don’t answer to a head church association somewhere miles away. We ask new people who consider joining to take our free Enquiring Minds class. You will learn the history of Unitarian Universalism as well as the history of this particular church. Should you decide, after careful consideration, to sign our membership book, we ask you to consider how you can support our church financially so we can continue with our work, community services and educational needs.
